RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The Vancouver Canucks have traded goaltender Eddie Lack to the Carolina Hurricanes for two draft picks.
The Canucks acquired Carolina's third-round pick in this weekend's draft as well as a seventh-round pick in next year's draft.
In a statement, Carolina executive vice president and general manager Ron Francis called Lack ''a big-bodied goalie who has proven himself on the NHL level in the past two seasons.
The 27-year-old Lack went 18-13-4 with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage last season, his second full NHL season with the Canucks.
