Road advantage? Flames looking to simplify on four-game trip

Like most boys trips to Nashville, this one was preceded by plenty of hootin’ and hollerin’ before the lads got on the plane.

Prior to their Monday afternoon flight to Music City, the Calgary Flames practised at the Saddledome with a bounce in their step earned in the final five seconds of regulation Saturday in Vancouver.

“Our mood is really dictated by how we play and we thought we played a pretty good game in Vancouver,” said coach Glen Gulutzan, whose club is remarkably upbeat despite a 2-1 overtime setback in a game Mark Giordano tied with five ticks remaining.
