Diminutive Johnson playing big for Lightning

TAMPA — When Tyler Johnson is at his best, he’s all about intimidation.

And so far in the Eastern Conference semifinal against the New York Islanders, the pesky Lightning winger has been at his annoying best.

On Saturday, a two-goal, one-assist effort helped the Bolts to a 4-1 win. But there’s much more than scoring touch packed inside the 5-foot-8 Johnson, who with 11 points sat in second place in NHL scoring prior to Sunday’s action.

If there’s a scrum after the whistle, expect the Spokane, Wash., native to be in the middle of it. And then there’s the fact that he never sits still.
