Bishop outduels King in Game 7 as Lightning advance to Stanley Cup final

Or, in this case, he has been dethroned.

Replaced by a Bishop, if you will.

The remarkable Game 7 run of New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist ended on Friday night, as the Tampa Bay Lightning advanced to the Stanley Cup final with a 2-0 win at Madison Square Garden.

Lundqvist had won six consecutive Game 7s and would have become the first goalie in NHL history to win seven. The Rangers, in their long and storied history, never had lost a Game 7 at home, winning all previous seven.

If Jon Cooper is going to try to devise the perfect road game for the final, a blueprint of the deciding game in the Eastern Conference final would be a great place to start.
