New Cal head coach Justin Wilcox couldn’t be much more of a departure from former head coach Sonny Dykes. Wilcox was born in Oregon and earned his reputation as a standout defensive coordinator at Boise State. Dykes is a product of Texas and truly made his way into the national conversation while leading the nation’s highest scoring offense as head coach at Louisiana Tech in 2012. But both were greeted with the same basic reaction from prospects committed to the Golden Bears.
