Spenser Heaps, Deseret News

BYU quarterback Beau Hoge lines up to pass during the BYU football spring practice and scrimmage at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Saturday, March 25, 2017.

My focus isn’t on the roster or the depth chart. It’s to come in every day and be more consistent and be better.

PROVO — Sophomore Beau Hoge was one of several quarterbacks who took snaps during last Saturday’s spring scrimmage at LaVell Edwards Stadium, along with starter Tanner Mangum and fellow backups Koy Detmer Jr., Kody Wilstead and Jeremiah Evans.

Hoge acquitted himself well, throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to tight end Matt Bushman and connecting with Bushman on a 32-yard gain.
