Former BYU quarterback Steve Young started out just wanting to make sure his children would have some knowledge of what their dad went through growing up and then starring at BYU and in the National Football League.
The idea turned into a book — a biography written by Jeff Benedict that actually includes a lot of detailed stories about Young's time at BYU. For instance, he was No. 8 on the quarterbacks depth chart at BYU at one time, but stuck with it and eventually earned the starting job.
The book is titled "QB: My Life Behind the Spiral.
