INDIANAPOLIS – Butler is behind in the game of summer basketball recruiting. Or ahead, depending on point of view.
LaVall Jordan, who came on as coach in mid-June, has not yet secured any commitments in the 2018 class. That is not necessarily alarming, given that most high school prospects don’t pick a college until August or September. Or, in cases of the ultra-elite, not until spring.
Still, Jordan and staff have had to build relationships quickly, sometimes re-offering scholarships to players recruited by former coach Chris Holtmann.
