INDIANAPOLIS – LaVall Jordan continues to attempt to hold onto a basketball recruiting class that is the highest-ranked in Butler history. And he is moving fast to complete a staff.
The new Bulldogs coach is to meet this week with Kyle Young of Massillon, Ohio, perhaps on Monday, a source told IndyStar. Jordan met Saturday with Christian David of Milton, Ontario, another source said.
A source said Sunday that Brandon Crone is staying on at Butler as coordinator of basketball operations. Crone, 32, has served in that role for three seasons after spending three as an assistant coach at Nova Southeastern, an NCAA Division II school in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
