Butler’s latest basketball recruit is a Canadian of Filipino descent who plays at a Vermont prep school.
Christian David, a 6-7 forward, announced Saturday night he has picked the Bulldogs over Creighton and Pittsburgh. Miami (Fla.) and Oregon were also in his final five.
David’s commitment boosts Butler’s four-player recruiting class to No. 6 nationally, as ranked by 247 Sports. Many elite prospects have yet to announce college choices, but the Bulldogs will likely finish among the top 20 in recruiting.
This 2017 class will be the most highly ranked in Butler history, and it comes in the second summer in which Chris Holtmann has been head coach.
