Middlesbrough are ready to trigger an eight-club auction for striker Jordan Rhodes but want to recoup the £9million they paid for him.
Burnley and Hull City are both keen on the 26-year-old goalscorer while Aston Villa, Sheffield Wednesday, Norwich City, Brighton, Derby and Celtic have also expressed interest.
Boro manager Aitor Karanka has confirmed Rhodes can leave Middlesbrough saying: 'Jordan a player in this squad but if he wants to leave, if we receive the right offer from a club that wants to buy him, and we are happy with the deal, then fine.
'But if he wants to stay here, he's part of the squad and I'm happy.
