Burnley striker Andre Gray is on Gareth Southgate’s radar for an England call-up, just six months after being charged by the FA for homophobic tweets.
The 25-year-old has seven goals and two assists this season, playing a key role in helping Burnley consolidate in the Premier League.
The former non-League forward has impressed England boss Southgate, but it remains to be seen whether Gray will earn his first international call-up for the squad — to be announced on March 16 — for the friendly against Germany next month.
The forward was charged by the FA in August for a homophobic tweet posted in 2012.
