Burnley cruised into the fourth round of the FA Cup thanks to a 2-0 home win over Sunderland with a supremely controlled performance, now booking a tie against Bristol City at Turf Moor a week on Saturday.
Goals from strikers Sam Vokes and second-half substitute Andre Gray were enough to seal a comfortable victory, the team's ninth at home against Premier League opposition this season. Better yet, once the Clarets were in front the end result was never in doubt against a very poor Sunderland side.
Positives
The Clarets made plenty of changes to their side with an eye on Sunday's Premier League match at Arsenal, but they still had more than enough quality to brush aside the Black Cats.
