Burnley not under pressure to sell Man United, Liverpool target Michael Keane

This is a modal window.

According to Steve Nicol, defenders Michael Keane and Virgil van Dijk are on the same level in that they are solid defenders who have yet to prove themselves at the top level.

Burnley chairman Mike Garlick insists the value of Premier League survival is so great that the club are prepared to hang on to Michael Keane and lose him for free next summer if a suitable offer is not forthcoming.

Keane, 24, has one year remaining on his Burnley deal and is expected to attract interest from former club Manchester United and Liverpool when the transfer window reopens.
