Yet on the other, Mee’s cousins will be in the away end at Turf Moor cheering on Jose Mourinho’s side.
The Sale-born centre-back himself grew up supporting City, joining the club as a nine-year-old and going on to captain them to the FA Youth Cup in 2008, before leaving because of a lack of first-team opportunities.
