WORLDS RECAP: CHAMPIONSHIP SUNDAY

Sabres defenseman Jake McCabe, named Saturday as one of Team USA's top three players, finished with one shot and a minus-3 rating in 18:30 of ice time against the Russians. Hudson Fasching played 15:20, logging an even rating and one shot on goal.

Sergei Mozyakin (2+1) and Pavel Datsyuk (0+3) led Russia in scoring to secure third place in the tournament in front of their home fans. They've now won a medal in each of the past three World Championships (gold in 2014, silver in 2015 and now bronze in 2016).

Frank Vatrano scored twice for Team USA, with his first coming late in the second period to make it a 4-1 game.
