Buffalo Sabres blueliner Rasmus Ristolainen lowered to boom on Pittsburgh Penguins forward jake Guentzel Tuesday evening in Buffalo’s 3-1 loss to the Penguins.
Problem is, Guentzel didn’t have the puck in his possession when Risto cleaned his clock, which resulted in Risto being assessed a five-minute major for interference and getting tossed out of the game in the first period.
The big question now is, will Ristolainen receive further discipline for his hit?
Apparently, we’ll find out Thursday:
