When you say the words “Buffalo Sabres rookie” in regards to this past season, who comes to mind first?
While everyone wants to talk about Jack Eichel, the Buffalo Sabres’ other rookie, Sam Reinhart, also deserves a great deal of attention for his spectacular season.
Reinhart put up 42 points in 79 games, including 23 goals and 19 assists. He registered eight power-play goals and three game-winning tallies, plus added 165 shots on goal.
His 165 shots on goal were fifth-most among Buffalo Sabres players, while his 23 goals were second-most on the team, behind only Eichel’s 24.
