Buffalo Sabres Draft Pick Options: Mikhail Sergachev

The Buffalo Sabres will have several options to choose from when they select eighth overall in the 2016 NHL Draft.

One of those options: Windsor Spitfires defenseman Mikhail Sergachev.

Sergachev is a 17-year-old left-shooting defenseman hailing from Nizhnekamsk, Russia. He’ll turn eighteen just one day after the first round of the NHL Draft.

At 6-3, 206 pounds, he’s a pretty big player already, and could add more size to the Buffalo Sabres’ defense core down the line.

Sergachev just recently finished his first season in the Ontario Hockey League, and not only did he show off his defensive skills, but also proved himself to be quite the offensive defenseman.
