Apparently the National Hockey League and NBC are not eager to show off one of its bright young stars on American television in the 2015-16 season.
No. 1 draft pick Connor McDavid, the most publicized player to enter the league since Sidney Crosby, and the Edmonton Oilers will make only one regular season appearance on NBCSN. It will be against the Buffalo Sabres and No. 2 pick Jack Eichel on Tuesday, March 1 at First Niagara Center.
The Sabres will appear on the national networks (NBC or NBCSN) only five times, six fewer than during the 2014-15 season.
