WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won their fourth straight match on Friday afternoon as the Bulls defeated Eastern Michigan 6-1. The victory clinched a spot in the upcoming Mid-American Conference tournament for UB.
The Bulls won the doubles point on Senior Day as senior Margarita Kotok and junior Tanja Stojanovska won at first doubles 6-2. Buffalo then clinched the point at two as freshman Anna Savchenko and sophomore Chantal Martinez Blanco overcame an early deficit to win 6-4.
UB won five of the six matches in singles action beginning at five as sophomore Mercedes Losada Rubio won easily, 6-0, 6-2.
