NORFOLK, VA – Sophomore pitcher Ally Power took a no-hitter into the seventh inning on Sunday as the Bulls split their two games at the Spartan Classic. The Bulls defeated Hartford 7-0 before falling in the final game to Norfolk State, 4-2.
Power allowed just one hit as she struck out nine batters in a dominating performance against Hartford. Buffalo opened with two runs in the top of the first as freshman Jessica Goldyn and senior Essence Savinon both drove in runs. In the second inning, Power helped her own cause with her first career home run as she hit a two-run shot to center field, giving the Bulls a 4-0 advantage.
