Buffalo Bills re-sign returner Brandon Tate

The Buffalo Bills have brought back their primary return man Brandon Tate. The unrestricted free agent was signed to a one-year deal right before the start of the 2016 regular season.

He returned 26 punts for 301 yards. His 11.6 yards-per-return average was the fifth-highest in the NFL among primary returners. He also returned 29 kickoffs for 662 yards.

Due to a myriad of injuries at the receiver spot, Tate was forced into a major role for a portion of the season. He caught eight passes for 117 yards on 12 targets and had three rushes for 48 yards.
