With the 171st pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills have selected Nate Peterman, quarterback from Pittsburgh.
The 6’2” 226 pound quarterback is the most technically refined QB in this year’s draft class, aside from Chad Kelly (or the naturally gifted Patrick Mahomes who has a throwing style all his own). Comfortable playing from under center, Peterman has an excellent play fake and pump fake, and is comfortable moving around the pocket while keeping his throwing base intact. He does a generally good job of reading the field.
Peterman does need to tighten up his accuracy, with throws that often require small adjustments from his receivers.
