For the fifth week in a row, the Brooklyn Nets are the caboose of the ESPN power rankings by Marc Stein.
It’s hard to be surprised about this one. The Nets are currently on a 10-game losing streak, and are still searching for their first win of the new year.
While they may be mightily struggling, it’s important to note that the Nets have remained competitive in most of their games. They led the New Orleans Pelicans for a majority of the game, only to blow it late and were neck-to-neck with the Toronto Raptors until the middle of the fourth quarter.
