Lexington, Ky. – The Bowling Green State University track and field team will compete in two events on day one of the NCAA East Region Preliminary Round Thursday, hosted by the University of Kentucky.
Redshirt senior Kayla Velasquez competes in the hammer throw at 11:30 am, while redshirt sophomore Rachel Walny will run the 10,000 at 9:00 pm. Both student-athletes will compete against 47 other competitors for one of 12 bids to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.
