BOWLING GREEN – Freshman wide receiver Matthew Wilcox saw little playing time in the Bowling Green State University football team’s scrimmage Saturday, and he did not catch any passes on the day.
But do not let that fool you: Wilcox will be given a chance to contribute this season.
Wilcox was an early enrollee from Wayne High School in the Dayton suburb of Huber Heights, so he spent this past spring learning the offense.
And this fall he has shown he learned those lessons well. While Scotty Miller is the Falcons’ returning All-Mid-American Conference receiver, and transfer Datrin Guyton has been the top offensive newcomer, Wilcox also has made his mark.
