ROCHESTER, Mich. – Skylar Fleak kicked her way to a day unmatched by a Bowling Green State University women's soccer player in 13 years, as the Falcons blitzed the Oakland Golden Grizzlies 5-1 on Friday night. The game, held at Oakland Soccer Field in Rochester, Mich., was the 2017 regular season opener for both teams.
Fleak dominated the match with four goals. Her effort places her into a tie for the second-most single game goals in BGSU history. The dominating win is the team's third straight season-opening win. It also gives head coach Matt Fannon a victory in his first game at the Falcons' helm.
