Scotland new boy Ryan Fraser has revealed how he and his parents suffered at the hands of ‘abusive’ fans who ‘hammered’ him for his decision to swap Aberdeen for Bournemouth four years ago.
The 23-year-old winger, who can play his way into Gordon Strachan’s plans by impressing on his debut in Wednesday’s friendly against Canada at Easter Road, has since become a firm fixture in the English Premier League side.
But his move to a Bournemouth side which was at that time languishing in League One was greeted angrily by elements of the Pittodrie faithful.
‘I felt like I made the right choice two weeks into the move,’ Fraser said.
