John Terry looks set to continue his Premier League career by signing for Bournemouth.
The former Chelsea captain, who left Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, is available on a free transfer and is poised to agree a £100,000 a week deal to move to the south coast, according to reports in The Sun.
Terry met with Cherries boss Eddie Howe recently and his arrival will signal another statement of intent from the club, who also look likely to sign Jermain Defoe this summer.
Howe sees the pair as crucial to continuing his side’s improving top-flight fortunes, with Terry’s leadership from the back viewed as being particularly important.
