BOURNEMOUTH -- Eddie Howe hailed his side's comeback as they recovered from 2-0 and 3-1 down to beat Jurgen Klopp's title-challenging Liverpool 4-3 at the Vitality Stadium.

Nathan Ake scored in injury time to secure the points for Bournemouth, who were two goals adrift at the break.

"I don't think I'll ever forget this one," Howe told his postmatch news conference. "It was a real contrast of emotions.

"At half-time we were in real trouble. Liverpool were excellent. We weren't very good. So that makes the comeback all the more impressive."

Howe, speaking after his 301st game in charge of Bournemouth, said his team's spirit had been retained throughout the rise that saw them reach the Premier League in May 2015.
