Red Sox return home with offensive push to pick up Rick Porcello and beat Rangers

When the Red Sox had opportunities, they took advantage. When the Texas Rangers threatened to rally, the Sox slammed the door shut.

Last night’s was not always the prettiest game of the year, but it was the kind the Red Sox let slip away too many times this season. Not this time.

The Sox weathered a few storms, did plenty of damage of their own and beat the Rangers, 11-6, at Fenway Park.

With back-to-back wins and Chris Sale starting tonight, this feels like the closest thing to momentum the Red Sox have experienced in a while.
