FORT MYERS — Brandon Workman is 28 now. More than 20 months after Tommy John surgery, the Red Sox righty was finally back in a game yesterday.
He said he felt 100 percent physically. But he’s a long way from the 2013 playoffs.
“That was three years ago, it’s almost like a clean slate for me right now,” said Workman, who threw a scoreless inning with a strikeout in the Sox’ 3-2 loss to the Mets. “I’ve had success before at that level and I’m working right now where I can get back to do that again.
