CLEVELAND -- It’s all over for the 2015 Red Sox.
It started out full of hope, when Dustin Pedroia took Cole Hamels deep in the second plate appearance of the season. But after a disastrous May in which the Red Sox went 10-19 the Sox were all but out of it. They fought back in June, played well for a few minutes in July but never regained momentum.
Mookie Betts, who began the season with a pop fly to the shortstop, ended it on Sunday with a groundball to second base as the Sox finished with a 3-1 loss to the Indians.
