Pitchers and Catchers report next Thursday the 18, with the first workout the next day. The reaming players need to be in camp the following Tuesday the 23th, with the first workout for everyone being the next day (the 24th) I wonder if anyone will be late this year, although that really hasn’t been too much of a thing since the Manny Ramirez days…

Other important dates include the doubleheader annual drubbing of Northeastern University and Boston College on leap year, and the first “real” baseball game against, you guess it, the Sox dreaded rival (ah huh) the Minnesota Twins, which is the afternoon of March 2nd…

As I mentioned before, this really hasn’t been that bad of a an off-season, likely due to the fact that the weather hasn’t been completely abysmal (although supposedly it’s going to get REALLY cold) this week, and stay that way for a while), and the fact that I didn’t watch a ton of baseball in 2015 (cause they SUCKED), so I was prepared for long stretches of no baseball…

A very good off-season, signing some desperately needed pitching certainly helped, although I would have liked to see a trade for That Clay Person AND Hanley, but they’ll get hurt soon and it’ll be like they are gone, although then we will have to hear about how they “really want to get back to help their teammates” and that “They are really feeling strong”, blah blah blah.
