David Price pitches better despite Red Sox 6-3 loss to Angels

David Price’s start last night represented a step forward in his progression from this spring’s forearm strain.

After the start, however, he alluded to an unnamed issue that cropped up and, according to Price, affected his ability to go back out and pitch the seventh inning.

“You never want to come out of a game, you have to look forward at the time,” said Price after the 6-3 loss in which he gave up three runs, only two earned, in six innings on 103 pitches. “We don’t want today to cost you the next start or the start after that.
