Red Sox manager: Hanley Ramirez's defense is 'nothing of concern'

The Green Monster will take more than one homestand to get used to playing in front of, as Hanley Ramirez is finding out.

Backed against the towering wall in the fifth inning of the Red Sox’ 4-1 loss to the Orioles on Saturday, Ramirez dropped a fly ball that appeared to be  in the palm of his glove, though he said it hit the wall first, then hit his glove. The play was ruled a hit and allowed the Orioles to load the bases on Clay Buchholz.

“There was nothing I could do on that play,” Ramirez said afterward.
