Clay Buchholz on staying with Red Sox: 'I'd like to be here as long as I can'

TORONTO -- Don't look now, but Clay Buchholz has a 2.33 ERA over his last 10 starts, including an eight-inning gem here Monday night with general manager Ben Cherington and jet-setting owner John Henry in the stands.

So, cue the trade talk.

To be fair, there hasn't been any indication from team officials that the Red Sox are thinking about dealing Buchholz before the trade deadline, now only a month away. And at a time when comparable starters are making upwards of $20 million annually, Buchholz is costing the Sox only $12 million this year.
