Kevin Hayes Signs Extensions with New York Rangers

Shortly following the announcement that Chris Kreider has re-signed with the Rangers, New York has announced that they have also reached a deal with Kevin Hayes. Hayes and Kreider are the only former Eagles that for the Rangers organization in the NHL last season. Nathan Gerbe will join Hayes and Kreider in NY next season.

Hayes, who has played two full seasons for the Rangers since graduating from BC in 2014, has reportedly inked a two-year extension. According to reports, he will make $2.6 million a year.

Hayes was drafted 24th by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010 NHL draft, but chose not to sign with them.
