Adam Johnson of 2 Ways and 10 Days reported Tuesday that the Boston Celtics promoted Maine Red Claws head coach Scott Morrison to be an assistant under Brad Stevens, and will be replaced by Brandon Bailey in the G-League.

Morrison had been the head coach of the Celtics’ D-League (now G-League) affiliate for the past three seasons, going 95-55 and winning Coach of The Year for the 2013-14 campaign. He has coached a number of current Celtics in the early parts of their careers like Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier, and Abdel Nader.
