WALTHAM — Though not everyone in the Celtics organization loves the idea of adding center Andrew Bogut — the 32-year-old has an injury-prone history — he does fill two big needs.
If signed once he’s bought out by Philadelphia — the team that traded for the former Maverick, Warrior and Buck as part of a larger deal yesterday — Bogut automatically would become the Celtics’ best rebounder and rim protector.
He’s also the kind of skilled big man who A) would be a seamless fit into Brad Stevens’ offense, and B) would enable Al Horford to swing over to his more natural power forward position.
