Celtics assistant Micha Shrewsberry to meet with UMass once again

Micah Shrewsberry confirmed today that he will meet with UMass officials tomorrow morning in what is the Celtics assistant’s second interview for the vacant men’s basketball job.

Shrewsberry also said he will go into the meeting with an open mind, not knowing what he will do if the job is offered.

But according to a league source knowledgeable of the off-kilter dynamics at play in Amherst, “it sounds like the job is his if he wants it.”

The program has been reeling since Friday, when Winthrop’s Pat Kelsey pulled out of the job after not only agreeing to take the job, but after the athletic department set up a press conference to introduce the coach.
