Celtics add Gerald Green, keep Tyler Zeller; other moves possible

A series of relatively minor moves by the Celtics has shed greater light on the 2016-17 roster, cooling talk of a big trade for the time being and putting James Young's Boston future in serious doubt.

According to sources, the Celts have reached agreement with free agent Gerald Green, reacquiring the No. 18 overall pick from 2005 on a one-year deal at the veteran minimum of $1,410,598 based on his nine years of NBA service.

They are also retaining restricted free agent Tyler Zeller, who will get a two-year contract at $8 million per season, with the latter year at the team's option.
