Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas finished a distant second to Lou Williams of the Toronto Raptors in voting for the NBA's Sixth Man Award on Monday.
Thomas received 33 of a possible 130 first-place votes and finished with a total of 324 points, placing him as the runner-up among the 15 players who received votes. Voters gave Williams 78 first-place votes, and the veteran guard earned a total of 502 points. Clippers' guard Jamal Crawford finished in third place with 131 points.
Upon hearing about his second-place finish in the race, Thomas congratulated Williams but suggested he was worthy of the honor.
