Some might think the fact the Celtics own eight of the 60 picks in next month’s NBA draft would make this process easy on them.
They represent 3.3 percent of the NBA, and they currently hold 13.3 percent of the picks. Nice numbers, eh?
But it’s not as if they can just dig in deep on players who figure to fall around one position in each of the two rounds. To properly gauge what they have — or, more importantly, could have — as they look at potential trades for one or more of their choices, the Celts have to closely examine exponentially more prospects.
