Chat New England Podcast, Episode 11: Straight Lash, Homey.

As you'll gather in this show, I've been feeling a bit vulnerable since the news broke that Plaxico Burress had signed with the Jets.  However, I was able to pull myself together, and I think we put on a pretty damn good show.

In this one, Babcock and I try to make some sense of the chaos that has ensued over the past week.  We begin by digging into the big moves made by the Patriots.  We then move on to praise the two teams who we've dubbed our "winners" of free agency thus far.

After a break, we return and spend a good 20 minutes mocking the teams we've dubbed our "losers" of free agency thus far.  After that, we take a quick shot at the movement of Reggie Bush and Darren Sproles.  Finally, we give some airtime to Randy Moss, an all-time favorite player for both of us.

Other topics include:  Is "the Patriot Way" real, or a bunch of bullshit?  Why did the Cardinals have to throw in a draft pick to get Kevin Kolb?  Why aren't people taking Cam Newton seriously?  What could Jordan Palmer do to really take the absurdity of this Carson Palmer saga to new heights?  Conversely, what outlandish thing could the Bengals do?  And, finally, what would Marvin Lewis need to do to actually get fired?

Bengals and Redskins fans, we're going to make fun of your teams.  You've been warned.  Please listen still.  Just remember, it hurts because it's true.

Here is this week's humble offering:

The opening montage contains music by Whitney Houston.  It also contains clips from the Rich Eisen Podcast, the Dan Patrick Show, ESPN New York Tonight with Bill Daughtry, and the ESPN Football Today Podcast.  You'll also hear the Grateful Dead and the Drive By Truckers.

Thanks for listening everyone. Please be sure to subscribe on itunes (search Chat New England), and leave us some love in the reviews.
