Celtics notebook: Marcus Smart's following mother's advice on return

Marcus Smart spent a lot of time saying “I have no clue” last night. And, with that in mind, the Celtics guard managed to hang onto a saying from his mother, Camilla.

“Some wise words from my mom — it could be much worse. It’s not broken, nothing has to be repaired, just take it slowly,” Smart said with first his public comments since injuring his left knee during last Friday’s win over Brooklyn.

Smart has had a brace on his knee ever since the injury, and continues to use crutches. Last night, he talked with the media while seated in a wheelchair, before he was rolled back to his locker by Jeff Twiss, the Celtics vice president of media services.
