Celtics News: Houston Interested In Brandon Bass Trade

The Houston Rockets are looking to use their $8.4 million trade exception to add a player to their big man rotation, and they have their sights set on Boston Celtics forward Brandon Bass.

Houston power forward Terrence Jones is out indefinitely with a leg injury, and the Rockets have been looking for a solid replacement until he gets back.

Bass has been both a starter and key bench piece in the league, and played extremely well while playing alongside current Rockets center Dwight Howard when the two were part of the Orlando Magic.

Boston is looking to clear cap space to make a run at marquee free agents this offseason, and are also trying to get as high of a draft pick as possible as they try to rebuild their team.

Nothing is imminent between the two sides, but there is interest in a deal.
