Celtics News: Boston Interested In Acquiring DeAndre Kane From Europe

The Boston Celtics are keeping tabs on undrafted Iowa State guard DeAndre Kane as an intriguing prospect in Europe, according to RealGM.

Kane has averaged 14 points, 5.7 rebounds and five assists during his rookie season in the EuroChallenge for Antwerp in Belgium.

His deal with the club is expected to run through the remainder of the NBA season, but Kane will likely be a free-agent workout candidate and summer league participant this offseason.

Kane played 36 games while averaging 17.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.9 assists during his senior year at Iowa State, leading the Cyclones to a Big 12 title and a Sweet Sixteen berth.

The 6-foot-4 Kane was not drafted, but played for the Los Angeles Lakers in the July summer league, where he averaged 5.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 19.7 minutes per game.

The Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz are also interested in Kane.
