Brad Stevens off to Africa

Brad Stevens considers his first trip to Africa to be such a rare opportunity, the Celtics coach has brought his entire family.

Stevens is on the coaching staff of Team World, which will play Team Africa tomorrow in Johanesburg, South Africa, in the first NBA event ever held on African soil. Team Africa features players of African descent, like Sudan’s Luol Deng. Team World, which includes players like the Clippers’ Chris Paul and the Celtics’ Evan Turner, takes its roster from every other part of the planet.

And Stevens is simply glad to be part of the effort to bring the game to a country that loves the NBA.
